The Last of Us Left Behind

Naughty Dog’s upcoming DLC for The Last of Us will be the only single-player content the developer releases, according to community strategist Eric Monacelli. In an announcement made on the PS Blog, Monacelli broke the news in response to a fan comment, saying the team will turn its focus to multiplayer DLC after The Last of Us: Left Behind is released on Feb. 14 for $14.99.

While it’s disappointing to hear Naughty Dog won’t further explore TLoU’s universe (for now), Monacelli did say the highly anticipated DLC will be a “good length.” If you aren’t up to speed on the upcoming chapter, Left Behind focuses on Ellie’s life before she met Joel, and the incident that took place with her friend Riley.

In a recent developer interview released by Sony, Naughty Dog revealed Left Behind will unveil some new elements to The Last of Us, though we’ve still yet to see actual gameplay of the DLC. With Feb. 14 mere weeks away, hopefully Naughty Dog will share more details as we get closer to the release.
