HTC One owners in America are just a little bit closer to finally getting the Android 4.4 KitKat update.
A Twitter post on HTC USA’s page has says the the software “has entered carrier labs for final testing,” and that certification should be finished by next week, so long as no bugs are found in the programming.

From there, all major carriers of the HTC One in America should be rolling out the long awaited update OTA not long afterwards. As described on HTC’s software update page, certification is the third step of the four step process to pushing such a massive update. It can take a long time, though, and the rollout will likely vary by carrier as it’s approved one by one.
Keep your eyes peeled in the coming weeks. We’ll be sure to let you know once your update is on the way.
