If you’re still looking for fuel for the console war to take to the message boards, Tomb Raider Executive Producer Scott Amos has some good stuff for you: Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition runs at 60 frames per second, 1080p resolution on PlayStation 4.
Amos revealed this during a GamesRadar livestream on Wednesday night, building on what he’d said to Eurogamer last week, mentioning that both would run as fast as possible – neither edition is locked to a maximum framerate – with a minimum of 30fps.
“That was our target, and I’m very happy to say we’ve achieved that target on both consoles, and anything above that is just gravy,” Amos said. Word on the Xbox One is less clear. Eurogamer references a report that states the Xbox One runs at 30fps with a maximum of 45, but it isn’t coming quite as straight from the horse’s mouth.
With its release less than a week away, we’ll know very soon if one edition of Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition is more definitive than the other.
