The Golf Club Features Procedurally Generated Courses, Coming to PC, PS4 and Xbox One

The Golf Club is a genuinely interesting idea for those among us who like to hit the virtual links when the real ones are either too cold, wet, expensive or far away for our convenience. This game, bound for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC platforms, features procedurally generated courses.

The gameplay trailer at the head of this post is little more than solid strikes and decent commentary. It’s a rough glance at what to expect when you actually play The Golf Club.

The video below, though? That’s the money maker.

That 13 minute clip features in-game action as one of the developers tools around with the course creation toolset. Watch as he creates an alpine course, tweaks some dials and randomly spawns a really unique take on link creation.

If you’ve played a lot of golf games in your day, then you know hitting the same several courses again and again and again can get really tiresome. This sort of solves that problem, doesn’t it?

The Golf Club is still very much in development, but it’s slated to hit the PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4 platforms this spring. Stay tuned.
