LG is reportedly gearing up to launch a new smartphone, the G Pro 2, during the Mobile World Congress trade show in Barcelona next month. According to a report from ETNews, LG will unveil the device during a press conference and will release it soon after the show. The phone is reportedly LG’s answer to the Samsung Galaxy Note 3.
LG did a great job with the original Optimus G Pro, it had a larger display that was still easy to use with one hand. The company may try to do the same thing this time around, though the phone will pack a larger 6-inch screen, ETNews said. Other reported specs include 3GB of RAM and a quad-core Snapdragon 800 processor. The device will also reportedly run Android 4.4 KitKat out of the box.
One of LG’s largest competitors, Samsung, won’t be quiet at the show either. Recent reports suggest it will come packing some new devices, including the Galaxy Note 3 Neo and the Galaxy S5. TechnoBuffalo will have boots on the ground, so stay tuned for all of our coverage when the show kicks off in late February.
