Fable Anniversary Gets Gameplay Trailer, Makes us Yearn for Backwards Compatibility

Microsoft and Lionhead Studios have posted a brand new gameplay trailer for Fable Anniversary, the Xbox 360 exclusive remake bound for the marketplace next month.

Back in 2005, the original Fable was expanded and released on the Xbox and PC platforms as Fable: The Lost ChaptersFable Anniversary is essentially the same game ported to the Xbox 360 with achievements, HD graphics and a new save system.

I know this might seem odd to a few readers, but it’s games like this that really make me wish the Xbox One was backwards compatible. I’d love to pick this one up, but my Xbox 360 is packed away in a closet. Pure laziness is keeping me from a game, and I’d wager that I’m not alone in that regard.

Fable Anniversary is an Xbox 360 exclusive and will launch on February 4th for $39.99. Will you be picking it up?
