With a handful of Pro tablets successfully announced earlier this month at CES, Samsung is expected to target the entry-level market next with a low-cost Galaxy Tab 3 Lite. The upcoming tablet was apparently leaked earlier today on Samsung’s own Polish website, where it was spotted by Sammy Today.
The leaked product manual reveals a design pretty much identical to the current 7-inch Galaxy Tab 3. Under the hood, however, we’re expecting to see some decidedly mid-range specs. According to one Polish retailer already listing the device for pre-order, the new tablet will come equipped with a 600 x 1024-pixel display, a dual-core 1.2GHz processor, 1GB of RAM, 8GB of onboard storage with microSD support, a 3600mAh battery, a 2-megapixel rear camera and Android 4.2 Jelly Bean out of the box.
Samsung is expected to unveil the Galaxy Tab 3 Lite next month at Mobile World Congress, but for now the device is still firmly in the realm of rumors. We wouldn’t be surprised to see a few leaked photos show up in the next few weeks ahead of an official launch, though, so hopefully we’ll know more soon. Stay tuned.
