South Park: The Stick of Truth has already seen its fair share of woes, and the game hasn’t even been released yet. A delay a month ago pushed it into a 2014 release, and now Ubisoft finally has something more concrete to deliver. The Ubisoft’s release calendar or 2014 clearly shows that the game is coming out on March 4th, unless another delay happens.
Along with the delay’s announcement last month came a disheartening tag from Ubisoft US boss Laurent Detoc.
Within three weeks after acquiring the game, we sadly realized we had to turn this thing upside down if we hoped to deliver the experience everybody wanted. It’s been such a major overhaul to get to the point where we are that we couldn’t let it go, even if that meant missing December.
He’s basically saying the game was horrible. I guess scripted action sequences and the Final Fantasy battle system are just too difficult to replicate nearly thirty years after their invention.
Just hurry up and release it because my hype got off the train ages ago. Now I just want to get it over with. South Park: The Stick of Truth will be released for the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and PC on March 4th.
