Fitbit Force Receiving Caller ID Next Month

fitbit-force-unboxing-6

The Fitbit Force is a great fitness tracker: it allows you to monitor the amount of steps you’ve taken in a day, the calories you’ve burned, how far you’ve traveled, your sleep patterns and more. Of course, it doesn’t have to be limited to offering only health stats: the device uses Bluetooth 4.0 low-energy, so the possibilities are ultimately endless with the right software. Now, we’re getting a taste of what’s coming soon.

According to¬†Slash Gear, Fitbit is working to add a caller ID function to the Fitbit Force by next month. That means you’ll be able to see who is calling, simply by glancing at the small display that sits on the wristband. We wonder if this also means that we’ll soon be able to preview text messages, or get other alerts such as the weather, stock price information and more.

We won’t get too ahead of ourselves, perhaps those other features won’t ever come… but we can dream, right?
