Sony just confirmed during the CES 2014 trade show that it will continue to enter the wearable health market in 2014, even beyond the SmartWatch 2. The new gadget is called the Core and it’s completely waterproof. Like other health trackers, it logs all of the data throughout your day, including while you sleep, exercise and move around.
You can put the Core into a smart band to wear it around your wrist, though it can also be attached to any other part of your body to record your activity. It syncs up with Android and an application called Lifelog that provides you with up to the minute details on everything you do.
Sony said the Core and Lifelog will be available this spring.
