Mutant Mudds developer Renegade Kid will be announcing a new first-person shooter for the Nintendo 3DS. Studio Co-Founder Jools Watsham teased the game in a Twitter post.

Despite being best known for its 2D platforming series Mutant Mudds these days, Renegade Kid first found its foothold in the video game world with the first-person shooter genre on Nintendo platforms. In fact, the company earned wide praise for tapping unrealized power of the first Nintendo DS by creating the creepy Dementium games and Moon.

It is unknown if the company will be returning to its older horror first-person series or if it will create something new. We’ll be sure to keep an eye out for the announcement and let you know when it happens.

Renegade Kid most recently delayed the release of its next game, Treasurenauts, into 2014.
