Ahead of its official announcement at CES 2014, Polaroid unveiled its new line of Q tablets this week. The upcoming budget-friendly devices come in 7-inch, 8-inch and 10.1-inch models and all run Android 4.4 KitKat, the latest version of Google’s mobile OS.
Polaroid isn’t saying much about the upcoming Q7, Q8 and Q10 tablets yet, though the company does reveal that all three feature quad-core processors and collectively range in price from $129 to $179. Each tablet also offers “extended battery life,” front-facing speakers, front and rear cameras, Wi-Fi connectivity, Bluetooth, and HDMI support. The devices won’t hit the market until spring 2014.
Considering how little these devices costs they likely won’t boast the best specs, but you’d be hard pressed to find a cheaper Android slate running KitKat out of the box. We’re looking forward to taking Polaroid’s new tablet’s for a spin next week at CES in Las Vegas. Stay tuned for more coverage.
