Mega Man X2 Hits the Wii U’s Virtual Console

Mega Man X easily ranks as one of my favorite Super Nintendo titles. A system that had such an incredible library, to say a game “ranks” at all is giving it high praise.

I’ve played Mega Man X backwards and forwards. I beat all of the robot masters with just my X Buster, something only a 10-year-old would be genuinely jazzed about. I loved that game.

Confession time? I’ve never played Mega Man X2. It’s always eluded me.

I didn’t own too many games growing up, instead choosing to rent titles once a week from my local video store. Mega Man X2 simply never made the cut for me. I’m not sure why, I just never tried it.

Now, here it is, sitting on the Nintendo eShop as a Virtual Console offering. I can download Mega Man X2 for $7.99, and I think I will.

Have you ever played this entry in the Blue Bomber’s tale? How does it compare to all the other games?
