The stars of Persona 3 and Persona 4 have quite a serious problem on their hands in Persona Q: Shadow of the Labyrinth. Not only must they contend with demons spawning from a clock tower in the middle of their schoolyard, but they must also retrieve their former bodies in desperate hope of resembling something human again.
Well, the latter I don’t think will actually be a part of the story. The Etrian Odyssey team has taken control of this entry, and the team’s art style has been distinct ever since it formed. The deformed and kawaii style perfectly fits the feeling of this being just a fun and lighthearted spin-off.
This new trailer shows off more of the story and gameplay that the teams will come across when exploring the depths of the mysterious towers. Tough monsters, new faces, its nothing that they haven’t faced before in their own games. This time around, the Etrian Odyssey team is bringing some top of the line animation to get its plot across.
Hurry up and translate this one Atlus, and take my money. Persona Q: Shadow of the Labyrinth will be released for the Nintendo 3DS in Japan this year where it is destined to be a top seller. We’ll just have to wait and see how American Nintendo 3DS enthusiasts react.
