Rumor has it Samsung is preparing to release four new tablets early next year, and now the first concrete evidence has surfaced in the form of an FCC filing. The online document doesn’t reveal much, but suggests we’re looking at an 8 to 9-inch slate that could be the rumored Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4.
The FCC is only concerned with the tablet’s Bluetooth and Wi-Fi capabilities, but the document also reveals its dimensions, coming in at 128mm x 219mm with a diagonal length of 240mm (roughly 9.4-inches). Factoring in bezel, the actual display could easily measure around 8.4 inches, though it’s also possible we’re looking at a larger screen with a thinner surrounding bezel.
Starting next month, Samsung is expected to unveil its first tablet of 2014, an entry-level 7-inch Galaxy Tab 3 Lite. A month later in February, the company will allegedly launch the Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4, the Note Pro 12.2, and the Galaxy Tab Pro 10.1. With major expos like CES and Mobile World Congress just around the corner, Samsung will have plenty of opportunities to announce its new products.
