Deep Down gets ‘2014 Prologue’ Trailer, Screens

Capcom has released a new trailer for its PlayStation 4-exclusive free-to-play dungeon-crawler, Deep Down, along with some screenshots. The game takes place in New York City in the year 2094, though that isn’t terribly evident from the trailer.

Deep Down‘s hook is the randomly-created dungeons that populate the game. Reports from people who have played it say the combat isn’t too deep, though that could change before release. With its free-to-play nature, though, we can expect it to be grind-heavy (though that doesn’t mean it can’t also be fun).

From the trailer and screens, we also get a couple glimpses of a classic dungeon-crawler monster and especially a favorite for Dark Souls fans, the Mimic. Watch your hands when you go to open that treasure chest.
