Free stuff on Steam! Earlier this week Valve was giving away free copies of Left 4 Dead 2, and today it is Remedy’s turn to be handing out freebies. Its popular psychological horror game Alan Wake is not free, but its bonus content is.
The bonus content includes videos of demos from early builds of the game and making of documentaries. Remember, the development process for this game took a long time, so there are bound to be plenty of scrapped ideas and secrets from those years.
Also included are two graphic novels, the soundtrack to Alan Wake’s American Nightmare, the complete screenplay, and a music video for Balance Slays the Demon by the Old Gods of Asgard.
You must have the game purchased to download the material, so hopefully you picked it up earlier when Remedy dropped the price to $4 shortly after it revealed its new game, Quantum Break. If not, the current sale at $14.99 is a decent asking price, and $4.99 for Alan Wake’s American Nightmare isn’t bad either.
It’s not a free game, but on Steam, free stuff is free stuff. I’ll be sure to check it out.
