A save the date image appeared on the Batman: Arkham Facebook page on Christmas Eve Eve, otherwise known as Dec. 23.
The image is a teaser, of sorts. You can see it at the head of this post. It simply reads “SAVE THE DATE” followed by “12.31.2013.”
The way we see it here at TechnoBuffalo is that this tease could either go one of two ways. Warner Bros. could be set to announce a bit of DLC for Batman: Arkham Origins, or the publisher is about to announce the next game in the Batman: Arkham line.
As much as we’d love to go for another adventure with the Caped Crusader, we can’t help hoping for an announcement that doesn’t entail a brand new game. Why, you ask?
Put plainly, this franchise is dangerously close to entering a realm of fatigue. We need a Bat Break. Warner Bros. should let Rocksteady come up with something brilliant before rushing this series to an annual release cycle.
What do you have your money on for the teaser? Would you like to see a whole new Batman: Arkham game in 2014?
