Nintendo of Japan has released two separate trailers for the upcoming Nintendo 3DS effort, Kirby: Triple Deluxe. One video is a TV spot, while the other is a gameplay overview trailer.
Let’s start with the commercial. You’ll see that 30 second clip set to air on Japanese television networks at the head of this post. It’s quick, of course, but it immediately shows off a few key gameplay features while continuing the tradition of Kirby’s cute and tough design.
As for the overview trailer? Of course, it’s significantly more in-depth. Here goes.
The game looks like it uses a lot of the same assets from the underrated Kirby’s Return to Dream Land on the Wii. It will also add elements that make use of the 3D on the Nintendo 3DS, though none crucial to gameplay.
Kirby: Triple Deluxe is set to release for the Nintendo 3DS on Jan. 11, 2014 in Japan. It does not have a release date penned in for Europe or North America yet, though Nintendo has targeted 2014 in general.
We’ll have more on this game as it comes.
