Golden Amber HTC One Max Announced

HTC is keeping its line of smartphones fresh with new colors. The company has introduced several hues for its HTC One and HTC One Max smartphones, and today it announced that it’s launching a new golden amber version of the latter device. The phone will be available in 88 stores across Taiwan starting today.

HTC will sell two versions, one with 16GB of storage and another with 32GB, though unlike the HTC One, you can add additional storage to the One Max by removing the rear panel. The 32GB model is already available from HTC’s partners in Taiwan, though the 16GB model will hit carrier stores soon. Pricing for the 32GB model comes in at about $800, or 23,900 yuan.

HTC didn’t say whether the device will hit additional markets in the new color. The gold HTC One still isn’t available in the U.S., suggesting that the One Max won’t be available here either. Best Buy has had an exclusive blue HTC One for a while, and a red model can also be picked up from Sprint, so perhaps new hues of the One Max are on their way here, too.
