Apple to Offer “Lucky Bag” Promotion on Jan. 2 in Japan

There’s something exciting about a grab bag: you never know what you’re going to get. If you like to live life on the edge and think that you’ll be happy with any sort of Apple product, and happen to live in Japan, then you may be interested in Apple’s upcoming “Lucky Bag” promotion.

As in the past, Apple will sell bags of random goodies at a cost of $345 each, or 36,000 yen. You’re obviously taking a chance; you might end up with some headphones, iPhone cases and any other goods valued closed to $345, but you could also end up with a real “Lucky Bag” packed with prizes that far exceed the cost of the bag itself. According to iClarified, some bags will come loaded with iPads, Mac Minis and even MacBooks. In other words, you might end up with a brand new MacBook computer for just a fraction of the cost.

Apparently these are hugely popular sales, so if you’re in Japan expect to wait in line. Also, what you see is what you get, so you can’t complain if you walk away without an iPad Air.
