Titanfall has a new Titan in its midst. The Stryder has been unveiled, and its reveal comes in the form of an in-game-fictional company’s PR video.
It’s actually quite clever.
The Stryder is just one of the mechs being sold for war by Hammond Robotics. The clip at the head of this post is, perhaps, the type of thing one of these fake Hammond reps would show off to whoever’s in charge of military spending for the factions in this universe.
As for the Stryder itself? It’s your standard quick-class mech. Fast, light, agile and good for scouting. We imagine that this Titan probably won’t stand up too well in a brawl with bigger robots or more humans, but it’ll be great for nabbing fast objectives and getting around quickly.
Titanfall itself will drop for the Xbox One, Xbox 360 and PC platforms this spring. The current release dates are March 11th, 2014 in North America, March 13th in Europe and Australia and March 14th in the U.K. and New Zealand.
We’ll have more on this one as it comes.
