Thieves Smash Car into Berlin Apple Store, Steal iPads, iPhones and Macs

Thieves reportedly smashed a car into an Apple Store location in Berlin early Monday morning, according to a report from a local news source. The crime occurred at about 4:15 a.m. local time, when the suspects reportedly drove an Opel Corsa through one of the store’s display windows. In doing so, the criminals were able to then walk right into the Apple Store.

According to Bilde.de, the thieves stole Mac computers, iPads and iPhones before hopping into two Audi getaway cars and fleeing the scene. This isn’t the first burglary of this kind in Berlin, which leads investigators to believe the group has been involved in past raids. A similar incident occurred on Dec. 9, while another electronics store was hit on Dec. 18, Bilde.de said.

Investigators are still working to determine the value of the goods stolen from today’s heist.
