ASUS Teases New Device To Be Unveiled at CES 2014

ASUS shared a cryptic CES 2014 teaser on YouTube today, hinting at an upcoming device that could see the Taiwanese company make a play for the U.S. market. The video features the Statue of Liberty holding what appears to be a tablet switching colors from blue to green, hinting at a dual-booting device. The caption, “Green or Blue? One or Two?” also implies some sort of dual-OS multi-mode device.

The company previously confirmed it will launch a high-end PadFone for the U.S. market in Q2 2014. CES, which takes place in January, could be a good opportunity to hype the device on American soil without organizing a standalone event. Though ASUS may try to make a global play during the Mobile World Congress tradeshow in February.

Whether ASUS will unveil a new PadFone, a dual-booting tablet, or both is unclear. The new teaser doesn’t reveal much beyond the fact that some sort sort of announcement is coming on January 6. We’re expecting something exciting though, and TechnoBuffalo will be there covering the event live to bring you the latest news as it breaks.
