Facebook Home Version 1.1 Adds New Features

Facebook Home, the custom Android skin/launcher/lockscreen hybrid just received an update to version 1.1. It adds a few new features, though as The Verge notes, are there really any users who are around to notice these updates? Surely someone is still using it, so we’ll go through what’s new.

Facebook Home version 1.1 adds a shortcut to the Cover Feed right on the phone launcher, so you can quickly dive in to see status updates and more without launching Facebook directly. You can also now customize your wallpaper from new photo categories, or browse photos and posts from your friends directly from the lock screen. Speaking of that, Facebook has also added notifications, the time and the weather to the Home lock screen.

The update is relatively small, just 8.1MB in size, and only requires Android 4.0 or newer to run. Let us know what you think about it, and if there’s any chance you’ll stick around and use it this time.
