We have some good news for anyone still rocking a Verizon Galaxy S III as their daily driver. The 4.8-inch handset now support’s Samsung’s Galaxy Gear smartwatch thanks to a software update to Android 4.3.
The update to Android 4.3 Jelly Bean doesn’t change much aside from restricted profiles for sharing the device with your kids. However, the software upgrade also brings a handful of tweaks to Samsung and Verizon’s own software, including enhancements to Multi Window, the ability to control your music player from the lock screen, roaming on the TELUS network in Canada and more.
Verizon’s update should start rolling out today, but it may be a while before it lands on your phone. To manually check just head to Settings > About Phone > System Update, though you may want to back up your device first just in case anything goes wrong.
