What can $3 get you nowadays in America? The last time I ventured back to the States, McDonald’s breakfast was twice as expensive and, quite frankly, not even that good. It’s hard to believe that I could have bought one of the finest video games released over the past half a decade for half the price of an Egg McMuffin and an orange juice.
Just Cause 2, Avalanche Studio’s wild and chaotic ride of true freedom, is going for just $2.99 on Steam. The sale goes in conjunction with the release of the officially supported fan-made multiplayer mod.
Do yourself a favor and pick this game up. Of all the sandbox games released for the previous cycles of consoles, none has come close to the amount of freedom granted in Avalanche’s masterpiece of pure unbridled fun.
I drink cups of coffee from Starbucks that are more expensive. Holding off on that coffee for just one day might be a sound investment for the hours of great fun ahead of you.
