Android 4.3 Jelly Bean might not be the latest version of Google’s operating system, but it’s finally rolling out to the AT&T Samsung Galaxy Note II. As we saw in the release for the European model, AT&T’s Note II will now have support for Samsung’s Galaxy Gear smartwatch, in addition to other software enhancements.
Some new features include new Samsung Premium Suite features that originally launched on the Galaxy Note 3, including Group Play 2.5, a new version of the multi-window software, Shot & Sound support for the camera, group messaging, Samsung Link, a revamped easy mode and an update to Samsung apps. Additionally, the software includes Samsung’s enterprise security Knox support, though apparently that has its own issues.
Samsung says the update should have “no impact” on your current settings or stored data, but it recommends that you backup everything before updating just in case. To update, head to Settings > About Device > Software Update > Check for updates, and your phone should begin downloading Android 4.3 right away.
