Yahoo’s award winning weather app has been one of our favorite apps since it launched on iOS earlier this year, and now it’s available on your iPad as well.
Yahoo’s weather service powers Apple’s own iOS 7 app but its own iteration offers even more features, including a superior visual experience and even more information. The app’s start screen shows a different photo based on your location each day, pulling each picture from Flickr to reflect the local weather, while the temperature is displayed in the bottom left corner alongside a day-long forecast.
Scroll down and you’ll see even more information from humidity and visibility to wind pressure. The app also shows what time the sun will rise and set each day with an animated graphic, as well as what phase the moon is in.
If this weather app is any implication of what the company can develop, then Yahoo is far from dead. Go ahead and give the new iPad version a spin; it requires iOS 6 and up and is available for free from the App Store now.
