Amazon Offers Kindle Fire HDX Payment Plan to Eligible Customers

If you were hoping to buy a new Kindle Fire HDX tablet this year but already spent all your money on other gifts, Amazon has you covered. The retail giant rolled out a new payment plan this weekend, letting eligible customers pay for the device in four interest free installations of $57 for the 7-inch 16GB Wi-Fi model or $94.75 for the 8.9-inch version, plus tax and shipping.

If you qualify for the Kindle Fire HDX installation plan you should see an offer pop up near the top of the screen when you visit the tablet’s product page on Amazon. From there you’re just a few clicks away from your first payment. There are a few restrictions, including a limit of one device per customer. You also have to be a U.S. resident, and all orders must be placed before Dec. 25. Amazon will charge you once every 90 days, but if your card can’t accept the payment the company may be forced to block your device from accessing Amazon content and suspend your account.

As long as you can make all four payments on a new Kindle Fire HDX, Amazon is offering a great deal on an amazing device. Considering the news that Kindle owners spend nearly twice as much at Amazon than non-Kindle owners it’s obvious why the company is rolling out an installation plan in an effort to gets its tablets into more homes, though we’re surprised the retail giant hasn’t done this before.
