Moving and accessing captured raised Pokémon between generations of software has always been a tough job for trainers around the world. Now, Nintendo and Game Freak are set to introduce a brand new piece of software and an online service meant to deal with that problem.
Pokémon Bank will let you store, manage and transfer your entire collection of Pokémon from X and Y into the future of the series. You’ll also be able to use Poké Transfer, Pokémon Bank’s companion software, to get Pokémon from Black, White, Black 2 and White 2into X and Y. From there, yep, you can move them into the Pokémon Bank as well.
This is not a free service, unfortunately. Though, it is dirt cheap. If you download the Pokémon Bank between now and January 31st, you’ll get a free 30 day trial period. After that, you’ll need to pay $4.99 annually to keep this going.
Like I said, that’s pretty cheap. For folks who play every single Pokémon title backwards and forwards, myself included, that $5 mark is worth it.
What do you think of Pokémon Bank? Is this a service you’ll use?
