Assassin’s Creed IV Black Flag REVIEW – A Pirate’s Life

Welcome back. Assassin’s Creed was, for a while, one of my favorite franchises in gaming. Before it became Ubisoft’s yearly titan, this whole idea was unique and well worth enjoying. Then came the subtitles and sidequests. Ubisoft built multiplayer, added a whole slew of activities and expanded their efforts to include sailing, climbing trees and […]

Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag Interview – Building the Golden Age

Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag is easily the most ambitious game in Ubisoft’s yearly franchise. The open seas, the promise of seamlessness, a Golden Age of piracy and a story arc that will surely intertwine with the rest of the series all add up to a package that should be unbelievably large. As we near […]

Let’s Play Assassin’s Creed IV Black Flag – Yo Ho!

Today’s episode of “Let’s Play” is all about the naval element of Assassin’s Creed IV Black Flag. There’s a lot of high seas adventure in this game, and we’ve decided to briefly touch on it. Of course, if you want more Assassin’s Creed coverage, all you have to do is ask. We’ll fire up our […]

If you’ve been plundering the Caribbean as Captain Edward Kenway for the last month or so and are looking for a fresh perspective in piracy, perhaps the upcoming “Freedom Cry” DLC is worth a look.

Featuring the likes of Adéwale, Kenway’s right hand on the Jackdaw, “Freedom Cry” is a round of story-driven content. The plot falls 15 years after the conclusion of Assassin’s Creed IV Black Flag, and it stars a now-Assassin Adéwale as he battles slavery in the West Indies.

The DLC will supposedly feature a fully fleshed out single player campaign as well as new weapons, a new take on plantations and new assassinations.

“Freedom Cry” was included in the price of the Season Pass for those who have already picked that up. If you haven’t bought into all the DLC for Assassin’s Creed IV Black Flag, you can snag “Freedom Cry” alone for $9.99 starting on Dec. 17.

The DLC will be available for the Xbox 360, Xbox One, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4 and PC platforms on that day. The Wii U’s version has not been given a release date yet.

We’ll have more on DLC for Assassin’s Creed IV Black Flag as it comes.
