Skull Kid Super Smash

The Skull Kid from The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask will be making an appearance in Super Smash Bros. for Wii U and 3DS as an assist trophy.

On his Miiverse account, Director Masahiro Sakurai wanted to emphasize that he will only be an assist trophy and not a full blown playable character, not wanting to anger fans or give them the wrong impression.

“Here’s a new Assist Trophy—the Skull Kid! I repeat, it’s an Assist Trophy, not a new fighter. The characters announced on the website are the fighters!”

He almost sounds desperate in his explanation, not wanting to enrage anybody. Poor guy has to deal with Nintendo fans everyday, not an easy job.

We’ve seen one or two new playable characters announced every month since the game’s reveal at E3 this year, but Nintendo is still leaving us waiting for one in December. Who’s next do you think? I’m better Captain Falcon or Wario, possibly Yoshi.
