Nokia has yet another super powerful Windows Phone up its sleeves. First we had the Lumia 1520, which offers the best hardware of any Windows Phone to date, and now Verizon looks like it’s gearing up to offer its own powerhouse. The Lumia 929 was leaked yet again by evleaks, and this time we learn that the code name is Icon.
Per earlier leaks, which didn’t note the code name, we’ve learned that the phone will likely sport a similar 1080p screen as the Lumia 1520, though at a smaller 5-inch size. That resolution will still fit the third row of tiles, however, which is one of our favorite parts of the Lumia 1520. A Snapdragon 800 processor is also allegedly in tow, in addition to 2GB of RAM, 32GB of storage and the stellar 20-megapixel camera also found on the Lumia 1520.
We still don’t know when the phone will hit the market, but it would make sense for Verizon to get it on store shelves ahead of the holidays. Seeing as the carrier didn’t launch it before the two busiest shopping days of the year, Black Friday and Cyber Monday, however, it’s possible the phone will launch after the holidays.
