Nintendo sent around a press release this morning, complete with an absolutely cringe-worthy pun, to signal their official discounts and deals for the Thanksgiving holiday and Black Friday.
The pun? “Nintendo Turns Tryptophan into a ‘Trip-To-Fun.'” Man.
First off, gamers in North America will be able to find the Nintendo 2DS for $99 at Walmart. The bad news? This deal is only happening on Thanksgiving. The press release does not indicate whether or not it will be available online, unfortunately, so you might want to plan a trip to the store if a 2DS is high on your list of needs.
Second, Nintendo 3DS consumers might want to check out the brand new Luigi’s Mansion: Dark Moon bundle. Pictured at the head of this post, the bundle includes a 3DS and a preinstalled copy of Dark Moon. That will cost $169.99.
Finally, if you head to Target on Friday, you can score a Nintendo 3DS XL for $149.99. That’s the best deal in this bunch, for my money. I love my 3DS XL, it’s one of my favorite portables. Go that route if this system has been on your radar for a while.
Anything catching your eye from Nintendo this Thanksgiving? Bummed that Walmart is making folks work on the holiday itself? I am.
