Nokia’s 6-inch Lumia 1520 has already made an appearance in the U.S., but Windows Phone fans in the U.K. will have to wait until next month to get their hands on the new phablet. The Finnish company announced today that the Lumia 1520 will hit British carriers and third-party retailers starting on Dec. 6.
Vodafone will offer the Lumia 1520 starting at £79 with a £38 per month plan on a two-year contract, or £0 down on-contract with a more expensive £47 per month fee. Carphone Warehouse and Phones 4U will also offer the device on-contract, while O2 will sell the 1520 at retail.
The Lumia 1520 comes equipped with a 6-inch 1920 x 1080-pixel display, 2GB of RAM, 32GB of internal storage with microSD support up to 64GB, a quad-core 2.2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor, a PureView 20-megapixel rear camera, an HD 1.2-megapixel front-facing camera, a 3,400mAh battery with wireless charging, and NFC. Nokia’s new phablet runs Windows Phone 8 and comes in yellow, white, black and red models.
Nokia’s 6-inch phablet may be too large for some, but it’s the most powerful Windows Phone on the market and is sure to garner some attention when it lands in the U.K. next month.
