HTC One with Faux-Gold Finish Revealed

For a while we heard rumors that HTC was going to release a gold colored HTC One. Then our appetites were satiated when the company announced its 18-carat gold HTC One. If you can’t afford a phone covered inĀ real gold, though, the company now has a version of the HTC One that simply sports a gold color, sort of what you find with the iPhone 5s.

The device was announced recently and will be available from European retailers soon, though it doesn’t sound like the device will make it to the United States, where it’s already available in several hues including silver, black, blue and red. The specs remain the exact same, so you still have a 4.7-inch 1080p screen, a Snapdragon 600 processor and Android 4.3 Jelly Bean out of the box with Sense 5.5.

We don’t yet know a price for the new gold-colored HTC One, but rest assured it will cost a lot less than the $4,400 18-carat gold plated model.
