Walmart just announced yet another initiative to try to win shoppers away from competitors this holiday season. The retailer will start offering sales on 200 items each day beginning on Saturday, Nov. 30 and continuing through Friday, Dec. 6. To help increase savings for shoppers, Walmart is also dropping its free shipping price minimum from $50 to $35 on 99 percent of the goods it sells.
Some of the sales next week includes $150 off a 32GB iPad, $500 off of a 55-inch 3D LED TV bundle and a $50 Nextbook Android tablet. On Cyber Monday, Walmart will sell a 55-inch LG 3D LED TV with a Soundbar for $799, a 46-inch Samsung LED TV for $479, HP’s Sleekbook Ruby Red 14-inch Pavilion laptop for $295, a PlayStation 4 bundle with a Dualshock 4 controller and one game for $517, and the Xbox One bundle with a game or accessory for $559, in addition to other sales.
Earlier this week, Walmart also announced an initiative to tackle competitors such as Target and Best Buy by matching Black Friday deals from other retailers starting week early. The company seems more focused than ever on driving customers into stores, likely in an effort for them to spend more on items that aren’t on sale as they ramp up their gift shopping.
