Plants vs Zombies: Garden Warfare Blooms on February 18th, New Gameplay Trailer

Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare certainly seemed like little more than a joke when it was announced at last year’s E3. And yet, here I am, extremely pumped for this silly third person shooter with class-based mechanics.

The Xbox One and Xbox 360 versions of the title now officially have a release date. You’ll be able to sow your garden (or murder it with zombies) starting on Feb. 18, 2014. PC and PlayStation 3 editions are, supposedly, in the works, but those haven’t been dated just yet.

This game looks like pure insanity, and the nearly 10 minutes of fresh gameplay with commentary in the video above has whet my appetite for a little shooter silliness. I just hope all of the extras shown off are unlockable in game and not with microtransactions.

What do you think of Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare? Does this zany romp seem up your alley?
