ESPN SportsCenter Replaces ScoreCenter on iOS

ESPN recently decided to completely revamp and rename its ScoreCenter app on iOS. We were already big fans of the old app, which provides quick access to scores for your favorite teams across tons of different sports, and apparently it’s getting better.

The new app offers tons of features, including the ability to set favorite teams, specific “Clubhouses” that provide news and video content for sports leagues and teams, ESPN Now for real-time scoring updates, an inbox, one-click access to GameCast, support for search and more. ESPN also says that the new software is much faster than ever before, which was probably our only complaint with earlier versions.

ESPN SportsCenter, which also includes video clips and analysis from ESPN’s cable TV channels, is available from the iTunes App Store Now. AllThingsD suggests that an Android version is coming to the Google Play Store very soon. Oh, and go Lakers.
