Verizon subscribers just recently got access to the Moto Maker website, and to celebrate the occasion the carrier is offering a $50 discount on all customized copies of the Moto X purchased, starting today through Nov. 18. With Motorola’s handset already discounted to $99.99, the temporary price is now just $49.99.

The Moto Maker gives customers unprecedented levels of customization—at least when it comes to the exterior of the device—letting you pick out a color scheme for the Moto X and choose a written engraving to display on the back panel. Motorola also plans to offer a few unique options including back panels made from real wood for $50 extra, though this option is still unavailable several months after launch.

The Moto X comes equipped with a 4.7-inch 720p AMOLED display, a dual-core Snapdragon S4 Pro processor, a 2,2oomAh battery, 2GB of RAM, a 10-megapixel rear camera and a 2-megapixel secondary shooter. It runs Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean out of the box with a handful of helpful Motorola features on top, and is slated to update to Android 4.4 KitKat in the next few months.
