Google on Thursday released a pretty substantial update to Gmail for iOS, introducing plenty of design tweaks that mirror the look and feel of iOS 7—the keyboard, for example, has now been updated to reflect iOS 7’s keyboard style.
The biggest changes have actually come to the iPad version, which now has new viewing modes and a left-hand navigation bar when in landscape. In portrait, messages now take up the full screen, making the experience much more intuitive and easier to use—messages, meanwhile, can also be composed in full screen. Finally, Gmail for iOS has been updated for “better scrolling,” making for a smoother overall experience.
The update is free and is available from the iTunes App Store now.
