iWork iCloud - Press - 002

Last month, Apple swiftly showed off a handful of collaboration features coming to its iWork suite for iCloud. Today, about a month after first demoing the features, an update has been introduced that brings even more collaboration to the cloud. Now you and a friend can create a masterful novel in Pages without meeting up at a Starbucks.

Among the new features, users can view a collaborator list, collaborator cursor, collaborator animation, and jump to a specific collaborator. Obviously, the buzzword here is “collaborator;” each new update gives users the impression that they’re working with another person as if they were together in the same room.

Additional features include folder support, and the ability to print documents directly from the Tools menu. Numbers and Keynote also received a few specific additions, such as the ability to create links using the HYPERLINK function in Numbers, and an option to skip slides in playback in Keynote. All the features are up on iCloud.com right now.
