Samsung 12.2 FCC label

The Samsung Galaxy Note 12.2 tablet has once again appeared prior to its official announcement, and this time it was passing through the FCC.

The Galaxy Note 12.2 has been rumored for some time now, and finally showed up in a leak photo in early Sept. Since then we have also seen it pass through its Bluetooth certification and the Bluetooth Special Interest Group. Samsung has still yet to make any sort of official announcement regarding the massive tablet, but with it now having appeared in FCC filings, it seems likely that the device isn’t too far off.

It looks as though the Note 12.2 will probably launch some time after the new year, possible at CES in Las Vegas, but at this point it’s all guess work. This plan does, however, fall in line with rumors that Samsung is looking to release tablets in a multitude of sizes next year. The Note 12.2 would definitely fill one of those slots, and it makes us wonder that much more about rumors that the Korean company is also cooking up a 13-inch slate.

2013 isn’t even over yet and it’s already looking like 2013 will be a busy year for consumer electronics.
