Motorola has already cut the price of the Moto X down to $99 with a two-year contract, and it is following suit with the coveted Developer Edition.
The Unlocked GSM or Verizon 32GB model is now available for $549.99, both of which can be tweaked on the software end to your liking and, since you’re paying full price, you won’t be locked down into a two-year contract.
Of course, ordering this version of the phone cuts you out of half the fun of owning a Moto X, which is customizing your own through Moto Maker. Verizon doesn’t yet support the system, but it is rumored to start doing so next Monday, Nov. 11. T-Mobile and Sprint should also begin offering support within the week, according to several rumors.
