Best Buy announced today it will offer an exclusive Blue Arctic version of the Galaxy S4 starting on Nov. 14, when the device will be available from more than 1,400 Best Buy locations and through the company’s website. Pre-orders open up on Nov. 8 for Best Buy Elite members and on Nov. 10 for everyone else.
There’s no official word on how much the blue Galaxy S4 will cost, but Android Central appears to have the inside scoop. Editor-in=Chief Phil Nickinson reports that the device will be available from Verizon for $249.99 on-contract, from AT&T or Sprint for $199.99 on-contract, or $749.99 unsubsidized.
The Galaxy S4 comes equipped with a 5-inch 1920 x 1080-pixel Super AMOLED display at 441ppi, a quad-core 1.9GHz processor, 2GB of RAM, a 13-megapixel rear camera, a 2 megapixel front-facing camera, a 2600mAh battery, NFC and runs Android 4.2.2 out of the box with Samsung’s own TouchWiz UI on top.
Samsung’s flagship smartphone is still one of our favorites even after six months on the market. At this point, though, there are a number of solid Android alternatives to consider, from the company’s own oversized Galaxy Note 3 to the Google-designed Nexus 5 or the customizable Moto X.
