If any of you were like me, one of the major reasons to be pumped for the Xbox One is the exclusivity of Peggle 2. I assume it’s limited exclusivity, but the Xbox One will be the only place to get in out that sweet, sweet Peggle action for a while.
Yeah, I know, Peggle 2 probably shouldn’t be one of the most exciting games in a console’s launch library, but it is. It’s probably just my love of the game that makes it so, but I dumped months of my life into the original Peggle. It’s one of the few games that I own on at least three platforms.
GamesBeat spoke with PopCap’s Garth Chouteau about the upcoming release of Peggle 2. It was then that Chouteau clarified that this was not, in fact, a launch day game. It’s a launch window game. Don’t you just hate this “launch window” nonsense? Here’s Chouteau in an email with GamesBeat:
Peggle 2 is a ‘launch timeframe’ title…But [it] will not launch day-and-date with the Xbox One — instead, it will become available a few weeks later in December.
When in December? We don’t know. Peggle 2 is coming, folks. It’ll be here soon enough. I’m just sad that I won’t be playing it on Nov. 22.
