If you are holding out to play Titanfall on the PlayStation 4 or a Mac, then you just might want to move on after hearing the latest from EA on this highly anticipated title.
Electronic Arts CFO Blake Jorgensen has stepped forward to clear the fog around this game’s exclusivity and confirmed that it will be only found on Xbox One, Xbox 360, and PC “for the life of the title.”
“In the case of Titanfall, it’s a brand new IP, and it’s exclusive only for the life of the title on Xbox One and Xbox 360 and PCs,” he said firmly during an investor call in response to a question on The Sims 4.
Xbox Live Spokesperson Major Nelson confirmed on his page that “Yes,
Titanfall game is exclusive. No, not a timed exclusive. It will only be available on Xbox One, Xbox 360 & PC”
So no, the PlayStation 4 will never see the likes of Titanfall, which reportedly is too intertwined with Microsoft’s cloud system to work on any other platform.
For those not in the know, Titanfall is an FPS from Respawn Entertainment, a company founded by the creators of the Call of Duty franchise and former Infinity Ward employees. It stands as one of the highlights of the new generation of consoles and possibly the last major game to be released under the EA Partners label.
Titanfall will be released on March 11, 2014.
