Media Molecule’s Tearaway looks genuinely fantastic. This adventure through a papercraft world is bound for the PS Vita this November, and today’s story trailer has us even more excited for the trek.
Mixing touch and tactile inputs, Tearaway is set to break the fourth wall of gaming and involve the physical presence of players in its world. That means tapping the rear panel to activate bounce pads and ripping a hole in the environment to reveal your face through the PS Vita’s camera. It’s all very silly.
The trailer above focuses on the nature of paper as the material for this adventure and the world’s home for stories. Hopefully the tale here is just as grand and fun as its premise.
Tearaway will go on sale for the PS Vita starting on Nov. 22. That’s a popular day for games, isn’t it?
