When Call of Duty: Ghosts releases this November, it’ll be bringing a new cooperative mode along with it.
Dubbed “Extinction,” this new mode will task humans with blowing up alien hives and taking on different types of extraterrestrial scum in the process. Anyone who’e been following the Call of Duty franchise lately with even a passing level of interest will likely think of the Zombies mode that this one easily compares to.
Well, Zombie mode is sort of Treyarch’s thing. Extinction, so we take it, belongs to Infinity Ward.
A new way to play is always welcome in my book; though, I wonder if it will be unique enough to stand alongside Zombies mode rather than in its undead shadow?
Call of Duty: Ghosts launches for every home gaming system under the sun this fall, and current platforms will see it on Nov. 5.
